GRADE 1

APPLICATIONS

Please apply on line through the GDE website
It is essential that you apply on line on Monday, 16 April 2018 from 08h00.
 
Supporting documents need to be handed to the school within 7 working days from the date you applied.
Please do not queue on the 16 April as NO Grade 1
applicationswill be accepted without a GDE online application reference number.
 

GRADE R

APPLICATIONS ARE TO BE DONE ON LINE
Please apply on line through the BPS website: www.bprimary.co.za and follow the Grade R link to admissions.
 
Application forms for enrolment in 2019 will be available on line from Monday, 16 APRIL 2018 at 08h00. Supporting documents need to be handed to the school within 7 working days from the date you applied.
Please do not queue on the 16 April as NO Grade R applications will be accepted without a Bedfordview Primary School online application reference number.
 

GRADE 2 – 7

Application forms for enrolment in 2019 will be available from the school office from Wednesday, 11 APRIL 2018 BETWEEN 08H00 & 13H00 ONLY.
Your application can only be returned to the school on 16 April 2018.
 

TO ENSURE YOUR APPLICATION RECEIVES ATTENTION, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO PROVIDE:
Certified proof of your residential address
(e.g. water and lights account or copy of lease agreement only)
Certified copy of parent’s (mother and father) / legal guardians’ employment contract and/or current payslip for proof of employment. If self employed, certified copies of CK papers.
Certified copy of the child’s unabridged birth certificate.
Certified copies of both parent’s/ legal guardians’ Identity Documents
Certified copy of latest school / nursery school report
*Other: (e.g. School Readiness Report for young learners)
PLEASE NOTE: (according to the School’s Admission Policy) compiled by the School Governing Body (SGB)
  • The school SGB reserves the right to give preference to families who are RESIDENT in the feeder area of the School and learners who have siblings currently enrolled in the school.
  • If applying for placement in Grade 2 to 7 for 2019, parents/ legal guardians should be aware that the school currently runs at its capacity and will only accept new learners if there is space available.
  • The FEEDER SCHOOL IS THE SCHOOL WHICH IS CLOSEST TO THE CHILD AND PARENTS’ RESIDENCE.
  • If you are currently in a local public school, please do not give your school notice as it can be considered as “school hopping”.
Learners who live in the AREA are placed on Waiting List A
Learners who are SIBLINGS to learners already enrolled are placed on Waiting List A
Learners who’s parents WORK in the AREA are placed on waiting list A
Learners who do not live in the feeder area and who’s parents do not work in the feeder area, are placed on Waiting List B and are only accepted if all learners on Waiting List A have been accommodated.
THESE PARENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY AT THE SCHOOL THAT IS CLOSEST
TO WHERE THEY LIVE.
